Building & Enhancing Jewish Community

Standing in the center of the community – the Federation’s goal – more than anything is to provide opportunities for people to connect, learn, make new friends and cement old friendships. We provide three monthly platforms for women and men – from all parts of our Jewish community & all affiliations – to come together on a regular basis in easy and comfortable atmospheres - and to enhance their sense of Jewish Community.

Women's Lunch & Learn

This monthly group has been going strong for two years and meets one evening each month – exclusively in Salt Lake City. Women from around the entire community join together for an easy evening of conversation, a pot-luck veggie dinner – and are treated to stimulating presentations from other women in our community.

Presentations and discussion center on topics inside the social action, social welfare, and Jewish history areas - and so many others.

Entering its 4th year, this program takes place one evening each month and rotates between Park City and Salt Lake homes.  The goal is simple: provide a monthly opportunity for guys to join together – schmooze, enjoy a catered dinner (cost $15), and participate in a great presentation given by other men from our community. It’s a great way to find out what’s behind the surface with your friends. Everyone has a story, and we have some great ones here.

This women’s program was created 7 years ago and is going strong today. One afternoon each month women from around the community, come together from noon to 2:00 pm at someone’s home (different each month) in Park City – to socialize, share a potluck lunch and to learn together. The recent focus of discussions has centered on strong women in the bible and will continue this fall with conversations surrounding strong women in Jewish history and in our community.
