Dear Friends,
I hope this note finds you well. Life is very busy in our office. In addition to great events coming up, including our Summer Party on July 27, we have brought two new people to our team:
Zoe Wood joined us in to take over the position previously held by Yahelle Yaccoby and then Jackie Solomont, who both moved out of state to pursue new opportunities.
Zoe is not a stranger to our Federation. Prior to joining our staff, she was a member of our board of directors. Zoe was also a teacher at The McGillis School, where she taught Hebrew, History of the Holocaust, and an advisor. She first came to our community in 2016 as the summer camp shlicha at the I. J. and Jeanné Wagner JCC, so she knows us well and has hit the ground running. If you call our office, it will likely be Zoe who answers your call. Please introduce yourself to her.
Cayla Schreier, our new Director of Student & Community Engagement for Hillel for Utah, just joined us this week (May 30). Her predecessor, Daniel Harris, decided after a year in Utah, which he loved, to return to Israel. We wish him all the best.
Cayla is from Fort Myers, Florida. She was working part-time in the Florida Jewish community, supporting young Jewish professionals and BBYO, and full-time for a local business. She decided that her heart was pulling her to be a full-time Jewish professional. We are excited to have her energy and commitment to building the Jewish community in Utah.
