Enjoy the United Jewish Federation of Utah's new program: Chai Cinema: Federation Film Series. Three to five times per year, we will have an exclusive showing of a Jewish-themed film and a discussion with the filmmaker or person connected to the film.
Our first film is Al Tirah (Do Not Fear) by LA attorney and new filmmaker Jonathan York. Jonathan fell in love with Israel on his first visit at age 5. After October 7th, he felt compelled to go to Israel to do whatever he could to be of help. He recorded his time on his phone to share with friends, who encouraged him to turn his videos into a film. Jonathan now travels the country (and in Israel) showing his film. He believes the most important part of the evening is the conversation after seeing the film. It is a powerful and moving documentary that will leave a lasting impact on you.
