Bio: Scott Hotaling is a professor at Utah State University in the Department of WatershedSciences. A leading expert in mountain ecology and hydrology, he and his team focus on how thecryosphere—Earth’s collection of frozen water—is changing. As a climbing ranger turned scientist,Scott brings a unique perspective to mountain research. Here In Utah, he is pioneering work onwhat may be our most precious resource: massive stores of ice in Utah’s mountains that have longbeen hiding in plain sight. Join us for an exciting presentation about the cutting-edge research thatis happening in our backyard.
